Do you or have you used longlines before?
When working on recall or behaviour modifications, they can be used as brilliant devices to bridge the gap from on or off the lead.
Once you have established a recall or wanted behaviour and you are now working on distractions or busier areas, long lines can be great to give your dog independence, while still having a safety net in place.
Importantly, if you need to collect your dog you can collect the end of the lead safety, without directly approaching your dog, thus they can be secured while they still complete the recall or wanted behaviour.
Please Note: We use longlines with no handles (just a straight long line), so that they don’t snag on rocks, trees or hedges!
If you think this would be useful for you and your companion, let us know and we can help make a plan for you, to move to the next steps safely.
